Surgery lecture this morning, we were talking about airways. It was 8 o' clock lecture and KR was still groggy-headed and it wasnt making much sense. Images of people with smashed head injuries, swollen face to unrecognisable extent with blood splattering all over the place wasnt at all impressive. Then he went and talked about tracheostomy, which is one of the procedures to mantain the airway when one has got a severe facial injury or anything like that, that would prevent him/her to breath normally through the nose and mouth. The picture below might help you to have a better understanding of what this blabber is all about.... ooops couldnt attach picture...nevermind google it yourself if ever interested. It's actually an incision (or cut) that you make in the neck (err there are anotomical structures to be observed tho) to actually allow breathing. So normally a tube is put through the hole you just cut and respiration occur through there instead of up there in the nose.
Occay, that is not the main point of this entry. He then mentioned that in people with tracheostomy (which they mainly hang onto for quite some time in some cases) this one problem could occur- low oxygen saturation- which in simple words mean that they arent getting enough oxygen concentration due to the position of the spot of gas exchange which is too low from what it's meant to be. OH MY GOD, The Lord Almighty! KR doesnt have any idea how many people actually realised that in the lecture this morning, but that just exhibited how as trivial as it might seem, Allah has actually put everything together in perfect perfection(yeah, that's to highlight it better)! Minor as it might seem, for just less than 10cm of change, it never is the same as what God has given and destined for you! Subhanallah allahuakbar. So which favor of your Lord do you deny? Human would think that they're smart enough that they are still able to mantain the patient in breathing state, but if they were to think more deeply, it is nothing but a mere desperate attempt to mimic God's creation.
A hot news was in the air today. One of our classmate is leaving, for good. Nobody could understand why he made such a decision after 3 years, him being always a keen, enthusiastic type of person towards anything that has to do with dentistry. That was a total shock, obviously. And then Jac told how this guy from her group (name forgotten hehe) who hardly turned up to anything, not even clinics. A lil bit of here and there, but that's it. Even weird. No one knows what actually is going on with this guy. That made KR actually thinking, and couldnt help being grateful for He is still putting KR here. Despite the tremendous amount of hurdles, KR is still cruising along steadily alhamdulillah. And He's shown it once again that nothing in this world happens but with His wills. And should you bring together everything in this earth and from the heaven, together put an effort for something, it would never happen except by His will alone...
