Assalamualaikum wbt
Do not say anything about this thing that has gone on hibernation. Isnt that what bears do in winter?
KR went to a talk about Palestinian this evening. Was only just then. It was fantastic. KR can't really summarize what was presented in KR own words because errr KR words arent sufficient..? And hey, why would KR provide you with the privilege of all these info when you didnt bother to attend the talk yourself? Haha kid-dingg
Presentation given by a researcher who apparently went to Lebanon in the process of doing the research. Talk was mainly talking about Palestinian refugee in Lebanon. Too focused, yes, didnt really talk about what happened in a bigger picture, and what the root of the problem actually was. That's not a biggie, would rather not waste time arguing on that. Fulfilling and informative, it was. KR now has an idea about what is going on with our sisters and brothers there.
Mashallah, KR just knew that these people have been refugees for 60 years now. That's at least for 2 generations! What made KR think that it was just recently that this issue arose? How ignorant! Picture it- they have been living in settlement camps with very limited facilities for the past 60 years! Some, eg families with 10 members are forced to live in 2-bedrooms 'houses' (if they are to be called houses at all). Imagine their struggle. Day in day out are struggle-for the whole live especially in the young generations. These people have nothing more substantial in their mind except the struggle, the resistant, the fighting for basic human rights to return to their home country even if they live normal lives, go to school, go to work, get married, love, quarrel, give birth, die. But you can tell how they have this hope and goal that's always there, never diminished by triviality of misleading daily lives. UNLIKE US
UNLIKE US. How many of us, our friends, the malays, they malaysian, the government funded students, the ones enjoying all privileges in life Allah could provide for-for the whole life, how many of these people live their lives, having the main objective of life in mind all the time, without deviating, without playing around wanting to HAVE FUN ALL THE TIME?? Shame on you whoever you are
KR looked around the lecture theatre. Shame on us big time! Majority of the audience were non-muslim. KR could head count how many hijabbed heads were there. Couldnt tell how many of the men were muslims though. These people did not come only for the sake of coming, mind you. God, they were well-taught, very well equipped with the knowledge of the issue. KR doesnt have to go on and elaborate how just the questions asked illustrated who these people were. And they are no closer related to the Palestinians as how lion in the desert is related to the labi-labi in the river. (Yeah mari buat parable sendiri) Look at the effort they put in getting involved with the issue, even if they dont do anything about it. Who knows what they do?
What do we do? Complaining about how you're getting less of Nando's 'supply coz this new placement town of yours is so rural that you think you're gonna die in 18hrs? Whining about how JPA wouldnt allow you to work overseas, that you think you're gonna die from driving Proton Wira as your first car after graduating? About how your boyfriend couldnt afford the brooch from Tiffany that you've been drooling over the past 2 weeks? Shame on us
